 Efficacious Indonesia's Herbal Drinks
 "Wedang Uwuh"

 

Indonesia has a variety of typical dishes and drinks, one of which is "wedang uwuh". In the Javanese language "wedang" means drinks and "uwuh"  means trash. Waste is not a waste like garbage in general but here is a wide range of foliage and a variety of woods are used as basic materials.
A wide range of foliage and woody material that became the basis of preparation of course has its own purpose, other than to make a delicious and refreshing taste also make herbal drinks has several benefits, including:
1. Lowering Cholesterol
2. As an anti-oxidant
3. Refreshing body
4. Eliminate fatigue
5. Blood flow
6. Cure and prevent colds
7. Warms the body
How to manufacture:
Ingredients:
• 700 ml of water
• 40 g dried wood shavings cup (gives the red color to wedang uwuh)
• 50 g sugar / sugar
• 6 cm ginger, crushed
• 2 pieces of dried cinnamon leaf (the scent on wedang uwuh)
• 3 pieces of dried leaf clovers
• 3 pieces of dried leaves nutmeg
• 10 grains of cloves / clove stem dry
Process:
1. Fuel then crushed ginger.
2. Enter the ginger, cloves / clove stem, leaf clove, cinnamon leaf, nutmeg leaves,   wood shavings cup, ginger and rock sugar into the pot with water and bring to a boil over medium heat
3. Simmer for approximately 15 minutes.
4. Remove and strain (can also be served with the waste).
5. Drink while warm
